The Creative Learning Center in Paradise provides learning activities in small group settings in both center-based classes, and in community-based employment and leisure activities. The Creative Learning Center was established in 1978. Activities are designed to meet the interests and needs of the program participants, and focus on the acquisition or enhancement of a wide variety of life skills.
Participants choose from a variety of classes, including Life Skills, Music, Performing Arts, Computers, Ceramics, Arts and Crafts, Exercise, Self-Care, Cooking, Scrapbooking, Sign Language, Current Events, Stained Glass, Sewing, Gardening, and Fine Arts. New classes are always being developed to reflect the changing interests and needs of our program participants. In addition, participants in the CLC program also have the opportunity to take part in vocational training activities as well as community-based work and leisure activities. CLC provides a 1:4 staff-to-client ratio.
